Wren's Tyrell Jackson continuing to draw interest

Quality programs continue to inquire about Wren's Tyrell Jackson, one of the state of South Carolina's most prolific offensive players.

The rising senior accounted for over 3,000 total yards and 34 touchdowns during the 2017 season.

"There have been a bunch to come by and see me throw over the past couple of weeks," Jackson told PalmettoPreps.com. "East Carolina, James Madison, Western Kentucky, Coastal Carolina, Wofford, Furman, The Citadel, SC State, Tennessee Tech, and Gardner-Webb."

Jackson is in the midst of spring ball with his Wren team and noted that the 2018 season outlook was positive because of the team's returning starters and experience.

In the lead-up to his final high school campaign, Jackson pinpointed a few key areas in which he's hoping to improve.

"Mostly my footwork, my form, and my reads," he explained. "Making my footwork more crisp and my form more smooth and just knowing the right reads to go to when the defense shows me certain keys."

Jackson works with Upstate quarterbacks coach and Elite Position Training founder Ramon Robinson, someone he gives credit to for his development thus far.

"I've been with him since I was in like third grade," said Jackson. "I've known him for a while and he does a great job helping us develop as players and young men."

As the process continues this year, Jackson is highlighting several aspects of a program that he hopes to find at the next level.

"Probably a school with a great family atmosphere that has a great coaching staff and good academics, a school that fits me and can use my abilities to the fullest."
