Jude Hall is a 6-foot-4, 185-pound Class of 2026 wide receiver of Christ Church Episcopal School in Greenville who committed to Duke on Dec. 9.
Hall chose the Blue Devils over Cincinnati, he tells Palmetto Preps. He also has offers from Boston College, Central Michigan, Charlotte, Coastal Carolina, Furman, Georgia State, Liberty, and Northwestern.
Part of the reason Hall selected trending 9-3 (5-3, ACC) Duke was due to his relationship with wide receivers’ coach Zohn Burden. “I feel like he cares more about my future than my college career. He wants me to be the best person that I can be. That shows a lot,” Hall said.
He will not only join a Blue Devils’ program that has proved itself on the gridiron lately, but a Duke University that produces top students from the classroom and turns them into professionals in the real world.
That is something Hall can get on board with. “It’s awesome. I’m going to get a (world-class) education, and that’s just going to continue to prepare me for life after football,” Hall said.
The Blue Devils love Hall’s length and route-running abilities. They also love how he goes up and pinpoints the ball to make the catch at the highest point.
But factors beyond this implored Duke to go after Hall and get him to commit. “Coach (Burden) could sense the way I loved football, and could see the respect that I had towards the entire coaching staff,” he said.
Hall recorded 57 catches and five touchdowns (13.9 yards per catch) for 795 yards under Upstate Friday Night Lights in 2024. He had 967 all-purpose yards.
