RNE's Taylor Britt was one of the weekend's top performers at the SC Hoops Festival in Columbia, earning MVP honors for her squad.

Playing in the Capital City Showcase for senior girls, Britt filled the stat sheet with 16 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists, 2 steals, and a block.

"It was a lot of fun, especially knowing and playing with and against girls I’ve known for years," Britt told PalmettoPreps.com. "It was also really competitive, and that made it even more fun."

With a host of Palmetto State boys and girls basketball talent from the junior and senior classes participating in four games on Saturday, Britt felt that the event was an asset to local prospects.

"The event Carey Rich put together was excellent and I feel that it gave us underclassmen an opportunity to showcase ourselves locally," said Britt.

The Midlands product currently has an offer from South Carolina State and is drawing interest from North Florida, Coker, Air Force, and Claflin.
