Khristian Jackson is a 6-foot, 175-pound Class of 2027 wide receiver who is making waves at Ridge View High School under Midlands Friday Night Lights in Columbia early in the season.

Jackson has exploded for 314 receiving yards and six touchdowns on 18 receptions in four games. He is averaging 78.5 yards per contest. A good route runner who is especially dangerous out of the slot, Jackson is registering 17.4 yards per catch.

While playing against a strong slate of opponents including Fairfield Central, Northwestern, Dutch Fork, and Camden, Jackson has gotten quickly out of breaks, demonstrated crisp, smooth route running on various patterns. And the physical player has broken tackles to create additional yardage after the catch.

But gamebreaking speed has been the big difference for Jackson in 2024. After breaking free from defenders, Jackson turns on his jets. And his after burners have an eerily similar to Class of 2026 teammate Jordon Gidron. Gidron is ranked the No. 13 wide receiver in the nation. Jackson’s speed has allowed him to find the end zone more times this season. He also maintains a physical edge when blocking and hand-fighting with defensive back this season.

Watching his film almost feels like a flash of Gidron, but while Jackson demonstrates several traits similar to his 4-star teammate, he has more of the makings of a speedy, short-down wide receiver.

Catching passes isn’t the only thing he can do, either. The all-around athlete has been lethal on jet sweeps and kickoff returns, picking up an electric score on a carry against Fairfield Central on Aug. 23 and running one back to the house against state power Camden on Friday.

Division 1 schools began to take notice of Jackson’s talents during the offseason when Miami (Ohio) and Virginia Tech offered him in May, and the list of big-name programs recruiting him should only continue to grow. Jackson competed in 7-on-7 tournaments at Georgia and North Carolina in June.
