height="200" align="right">Former Conway running back/defensive back Allen Patrick has
received two offers this week from major DI programs.
Earlier in the week, Patrick received an offer from the University of Florida from
Gator assistant coach Charlie Strong. Today, the former South Carolina prep standout
received an offer from the University of Oklahoma head coach Bob Stoops.
Patrick, a defensive back for Independence Junior College, was one of the top players
in South Carolina in the class of 2002. He was a very powerful runner on offense, but what
he is most remembered for by SCVarsity staff were the bonecrushing hits that he made from
his defensive back position.
Patrick is now 6-2, 210lbs with a 4.4 40. He bench presses 300lbs and has a 36 inch
vertical jump. He led the conference in tackles this past season for Independence.
Our sources indicate that the offer from Oklahoma was one that Patrick was not taking
lightly, and that he may commit to the Sooners this week. We will keep you posted on his
status.
