Shrine Bowl DL Commits To Ga Tech

Vance Walker, the big defensive end from Fort Mill High School,
spent some time in Atlanta this weekend and apparently had a very good time. How good?

"I liked the program, I like what they're doing," Walker said. "I actually liked Atlanta. It's a nice, big city. The campus is secluded but it's near downtown Atlanta."
Walker was one of the state's leading tacklers with 41 tackles for loss and 17.5 sacks
this past season. He was the defensive player of the year for the Rock Hill Herald, a
second team defensive lineman on the SCVarsity.com All-State team, All-Region player,
winner of the Tri-County defensive lineman of the week four different times in 2004, and a
starter for the 2004 Shrine Bowl team, collecting two sacks in that game.
Walker will more than likely be moved to
defensive tackle for the Jackets.
