Columbia (SC) Ridge View High School is home to some outstanding players for the Class
of 2007, as we have evaluated them well this Spring. One of those players are wide
receiver Brandon
King, who has turned heads this Spring and Summer in camps and passing
leagues. SCVarsity.com talked to King this weekend about the Clemson passing league and
his recruiting.
"Everything is going well," said King. "We lost both of our games today
(Sunday) at the passing league, though, but I had a good weekend."
Ridge View went 4-2 on Saturday before dropping two games on Sunday at the Clemson
Passing League. King caught a total of sixteen touchdown passes in seven complete games.
He did not complete on game after falling on his shoulder and deciding with his coach to
take a break for that game.
King, a 6-6 1/2 receiver, was invited to Middle Tennessee State and Wake Forest this
Summer. He said that the Clemson coaches spoke to him this weekend and liked what they've
seen in camps and are just waiting on his grades to come in. He is taking three classes
this summer and has completed one already with high marks.
King has already cracked the SCVarsity.com Top Twenty players list, and his stock will
certainly continue to climb as the season gets under way.
Stay tuned to SCVarsity.com as we follow this outstanding athletes
through his senior year.
