field. Now, the 6-6, 270 coach's son has an offer on the table from the state's favorite
SEC team, bringing his offer list to three.
"South Carolina was out at the school yesterday," said Coach Ben Freeman,
Dalton's dad. "Coach Hunt offered him before he left."
(Dalton) Freeman has been a force for his dad's Pelion Panther team since his freshman
year, and he has offers from Duke and Clemson already.
According to his dad, Clemson is the leader for Dalton, but he admits that things could
change.
"If he had to decide today," the elder Freeman said, "Clemson is
probably the team to beat. But I think that this is an offer that will make him think
about some things and a lot can happen between now and next year.
"He wants to go somewhere that's going to get him some good exposure and a place
that he'll have a chance to develop his potential. They (South Carolina) certainly have a good class coming in this year."

recruiting process.
