Sumter(SC) Crestwood running back Jae Fitzgerald was one of the state's leading rushers
this year and a representative on the South Carolina Shrine Bowl team. Now, he's taking

his skills to the next level with the University of Alabama, Birmingham with his
commitment to the Blazers.
The 5-11, 195lbs senior had offers from UAB, SC State, Wofford, Mars Hill, and
Winston-Salem, but the Blazers were his favorite and after his visit there, gave them his
verbal committment.
Fitzgerald rushed for over 1681 yards this season, including a 317 yard performance on
51 carries against region foe Marlboro County. He also had 20 TD's on the year.
